Lily Mao and the Resonaters Sign with
Brooklyn Label A Diamond Heart Production
Set to Release Six-Song EP in 2022
(NEW YORK CITY, JAN. 3, 2022) – Lily Mao and The Resonaters announce they have signed with Brooklyn record label A Diamond Heart Production, an artist development and recording company created by singer, songwriter and record producer Vanessa Silberman.
“We’re incredibly excited to sign with A Diamond Heart Production in this next step forward in our musical careers,” said Lily Mao, lead vocalist, lyricist and guitarist.
Lily Mao and The Resonaters is known for an original and exciting new sound which includes influences of punk, glam and grunge rock, ‘80s new wave and ‘90s pop. The band also features Nate Jasensky (guitar/producer), Gabby Borges (drums), and Tui Jordan (bass).
“Everyone at the label has been wonderful to work with,” Mao added. “Personally, I’m thrilled to take this artistic and creative journey with Vanessa and look forward to sharing new music with our fans soon.”

The group’s first release for their new label, “Human Being Animal,” is set to drop in 2022. Recorded at Greenpoint Recording Collective and produced by the group’s own Nate Jasensky, “Human Being Animal” will follow the band’s previous releases “Seasick on the Subway,” nominated for a 2021 Wavy Award for Song of the Year, and their Debut Album “Run To Madness,” released independently in 2018. Garage rocker Lily Mao has hammered out a niche in Brooklyn’s indie-rock community with their gritty recordings and vibrant stage personality. The Scranton, Pennsylvania native moved to Brooklyn in 2018, where they formed a power trio with producer and bandmate Nate Jasensky and Gabby Borges. Playing stages like Rough Trade, Mercury Loung and the Knitting Factory, the band most recently welcomed Tui Jordan on base.
